Have a few days in Melbourne? Make sure you spare a day or two to explore the Great Ocean Road. This is definitely one of the trips of the lifetime. Join a local tour or simply rent a car to drive it through!

Did you know? The Great Ocean Road initially was built for tourism initiative... it was mainly to put the servicemen from WW1 to work. Condition at the time was extremely difficult but nowadays, the Great Ocean Road is one of the main attractions of East Coast Australia.

Driving/ travelling down the Great Ocean Road is truly amazing. Despite of the detailed description provided by the tour guide, all I can remember is the stunning views of the ocean. If you are driving down the road, make sure to stop for some photos, or whats better, just soak up the view with your own eyes.

Cape Otway Lighthouse

As you drive further down, you will reach the Cape Otway Lighthouse. This lighthouse has over 150 years of history and it is still operational today. In case you need a bite or some refreshment, there is a small cafe where you can grab some quick lunch before you continue with the journey.
