Flying into Frankfurt for my Europe trip this time. Landing at 5 am was not ideal as most of the shops and sights were still closed. Instead, I checked into the the hotel and freshen up for the day.

7:00 - Check into hotel

Only a night stay in Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof, I am already in love. Amazing hospitality and exceptional service. Concierge and reception really knew their stuff and were able to answer any questions I had!!

The hotel locates at the centre of Frankfurt, meaning you can walk to most tourist spots. This hotel is also perfect for business stay and conferences as it locates in the CBD, 5 mins proximity from the Stock Exchange and Commerzbank HQ.

9:00 - Breakfast in cafe

In the CBD area, there are plenty of cafe to choose from, big American brands like Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts and etc... Of course, there are also local brands and local bakeries to choose from. I waddled into Coffee Fellow which appeared to me as a local chain for a bagel and cuppicino (yes, a bagel... please do not judge, I was jetlag).

10:00 - Palmengarten Garden

After breakfast, I decided to do a small excursion from the city centre. Hopped on a train and headed to +Palmengarten, which is 15 mins metro ride away from central area.

This garden was found in the 19th century. On around 22 hectares of land, this botanic garden is the biggest in the city of Frankfurt. Displaying a range of beautiful and exotic plants and floras around the world.

1:00 - Lunch at a traditional German restaurant - Astchel

It's time for Lunch! I had a quick search on Tripadvisor to see if there was any good traditional Geramn restaurants around the area. Turned out there was one just 10 mins away from the Bridge. Ranked as one of the best German restaurants in the whole of Frankfurt, the menu is very reasonably priced with plenty of choices! By favourite was grilled pork knukle.

3:00 - Romer Plaza

The most visited sights in Frankfurt. Romer Plaza is what you would expect in a German town. The Romer is a medieval building in the Alstadt, located opposite the Old St. Nicholas Church and has been the city hall for over 600 years.
