My Hallstatt Adventure
06:02Hallstatt is my family's favourite place in Europe. It is an unbelievably spectacular place and will take your breath away. Apart from the mountains, lakes and other natural features, this town is full of unique architectures and cultural events. Hallstatt locates near the Hallstätter See in the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut. There is no formal record of any notable events happened during the Roman times until early 13th century when it became a market town.

Best way to explore the lake is to be in the lake! You may choose rent a paddle boat/ swan if you feeling active. Alternatively, you may hop on a cruise and discover Obertraun, Hallstatt and Eastern shore trail. Oh! Almost forgot to mention, you can actually be in the lake as there is a public swimming area (Badeinsel)!

Apart from the lake and market square, there are so much more to do and discover in Hallstatt. If time allows, you may take a short cable car ride up hill and join a salt mine tour. Surrounding Painters Trail, Charnel House and Evangelical Parish Church are among the most popular.
