Top 5 Destinations of Fall Foliage
06:56'The falling leaves drift by the window, the autumn leaves of red and gold.' These romantic lines not only belong to Nat King Cole's famous Autumn Leaves, they also draw a beautiful picture of fall foliage. In this blog post, I would like to suggest 5 of my favourite places for leaves peeping.
1. Adirondacks, New York
If you are near New York area around this time of year. You should plan a hiking trip in Adirondacks. The Adirondack Region is made up of 7 regions. Each of these regions has its own distinctive landscape and visitor experience. So grab your sweater, hot chocolate mug and start hiking!

2. Kyoto, Japan
Kyoto is famous for its Cherry Blossom, but did you know, their fall foliage is perhaps more beautiful! Every year, Kyoto's fall foliage attracts millions of tourists. The harmonium of mother nature, history and architecture is what I like the most of Kyoto's autumn.Fall foliage lasts for almost 2 months on an average year. The leaves start changing colour in mid October, however, the peak is in mid November.![]() |

3. Kew Garden, London
I know what you are thinking. London, November? It's cold! You are probably right. However, you do experience different kind of fall foliage in the city. Kew Garden is one of my favourite gardens in the city. Its diversified collection of living plants leaves you a beautiful picture of stunning fiery colour. Perfect day out with your kids during half term!

4. Nova Scotia, Canada
Nova Scotia is not just one of your typical road trip stop. People go to Nova Scotia for the fall foliage for a reason. This area in Canada has so much to offer. Its bright yellow, oranges and reds colourful leaves give us inspirations. Among many scenic spots in Nova Scotia, Annopolis Valley and Cabot Trail offer some of the best views for the season.![]() |

5. Neuschewanstein Castle, Germany
Neuschwanstein Castle is by far my favourite castles that I have visited. In German, Neuschwanstein means 'New Swan Stone' and this castle does live up to its name. Rising in the beautiful forest, this fairy tale'esque picture changes by season.![]() |
