My Cambridge Adventure

08:43

Not only Cambridge is home to one of the best universities on earth, Cambridge itself is also a beautiful romantic town situated in the south of England. Just like touring other old towns, I suggest walking and getting lost to explore every alley this town has to offer. I was lucky enough to have a friend to guide me through different colleges and tell me a lot about the history of Cambridge.

Getting lost in Cambridge

Cambridge is arguably the most 'Englishy' town. With a wealth of culture and history, from coffee shops, architectures, churches to side allies. Get yourself deep in the town and explore.

Hop around the colleges

Need not to say, your trip to Cambridge will not be completed without paying a visit to the University of Cambridge and hob around the colleges. The gothic colleges are scattered all around which provide an excellent atmosphere to the city. One thing to note though, most of the grasses/ garden are not for public to step on. You can only step on those glasses once you become a fellow of the college.

For all the students who intend to apply to one of the colleges, I highly recommend attending one of their taster session in summer season. You will be able to chat with present students and prospective candidates and get a sense of what you are up against.

Go Punting

Cambridge is a town that built on a river bank. One of the most traditional way of travelling around the town is by punting. You can either punt the boat yourself or pick up a private chauffeur to guide you through this beautiful town in the most relaxed way.

The Peacock TeaHouse

Do not miss out drinking tea in the 'most englishy town'. Take a moment and enjoy a cup of tea. Peacock Tea House is 10 minutes (by train) from Cambridge and is one of the go-to tea houses for Cambridge locals and tourists.
