Belated Happy New Year! I hope all of you had a great time during this holiday season.

This year, instead of staying home and soak up the festivity. I decided to head to Hangzhou for some tranquility and relax in this beautiful Sheraton Resort by the wetland park.

Need a break from the city's hustle and bustle like Shanghai and Hong Kong? Hangzhou is your place.

Only 20 minutes from city centre and main tourist attractions, Sheraton Hangzhou Wetland Park Resort was a pleasant surprise for me. As some of you may know, many of the Hangzhou top hotels were built decades ago and some are not very well maintained. This recent built hotel is situated in the middle of Hangzhou wetland park and is neighbour to Bayan Tree, Brook Hotel and other top Chinese resorts.

We stayed at the superior room. This room adopts the open bathroom concept and has a spacious private balcony which offers beautiful garden view. All amenities lived up to international 5-star resort standard.

Here are some pros and cons:

Pros
- Check-in/ Check-out: fast and easy. Staff are all very helpful and speak good English
- Concierge: Knowledgeable and helpful. Would go extra mile to get you a cab!
- Room: Bed and Bedding were comfortable. Modern spacious room
- Location: Close to Hangzhou Wetland Park

Cons
- Room: Not everyone enjoy open bathroom concept. (my parents for sure were not impressed)
- Location: Far from city centre (10-20 mins cab ride to major sites)
- Breakfast: Not included and expensive for China standard
